What is Verbalyft?
Verbalyft is an AI-powered speech therapy companion that helps children ages 3-12 build confidence in communication through interactive stories, guided speaking exercises, vocabulary games, and personalized practice — all within a safe, playful environment.
What ages is Verbalyft designed for?
Verbalyft is designed for children ages 3-12 with speech delays, articulation challenges, autism, or other communication needs. Activities adapt to each child's developmental level.
Can Verbalyft replace speech therapy?
No. Verbalyft is designed to complement — never replace — the work of licensed speech-language pathologists (SLPs). It provides practice between sessions and helps therapists assign and monitor activities remotely.
Is Verbalyft evidence-based?
Yes. Our activities are grounded in speech-language pathology research and developed in consultation with licensed SLPs. We use evidence-based techniques like active recall, scaffolded instruction, and gamified motivation.
Does Verbalyft work for nonverbal children?
Yes. For pre-verbal and nonverbal children, Verbalyft offers visual activities, tap-based games, and receptive language exercises that don't require speaking. Children can progress to speech-based activities at their own pace.
Safety & Privacy
Is Verbalyft safe for children?
Yes. Verbalyft is COPPA and GDPR compliant. We don't show ads, don't sell data, and use browser-based speech recognition so no audio is stored on our servers. All AI-generated content is filtered for child safety.
What data do you collect about my child?
We collect only what's needed to personalize the learning experience: the child's name (or nickname), age range, and activity progress. We never collect photos, precise location, or contact information from children. See our Privacy Policy and COPPA Policy for details.
How do I delete my child's data?
You can delete your child's profile from the Parent Dashboard settings, or email hello@verbalyft.com. Data is removed within 30 days per our privacy policy.

How does the speech practice feature work?
Verbalyft uses your device's built-in speech recognition to listen to your child's pronunciation and provide real-time feedback. No audio is sent to or stored on our servers — all processing happens in the browser.
What kind of activities does Verbalyft offer?
Verbalyft includes interactive AI-generated stories, pronunciation practice, vocabulary games (word matching, sound identification, first words), a conversational AI buddy, developmental assessments, quizzes, and adventure-style missions — all designed to make speech practice feel like play.
Can I track my child's progress?
Yes. The Parent Dashboard shows your child's daily practice streaks, completed activities, badge achievements, and skill progress over time. Therapists can also share reports and recommendations through the platform.
For Therapists
Can therapists use Verbalyft with their clients?
Yes. The Professional plan lets speech-language pathologists manage up to 25 client profiles, assign specific activities, track outcomes, and share progress reports with parents — all from a unified therapist dashboard.
How does the therapist-parent connection work?
Therapists can invite parents via email. Once connected, therapists assign activities that appear in the child's dashboard, and parents see therapist notes and recommendations in their Parent Dashboard.
Is Verbalyft suitable for teletherapy?
Verbalyft complements teletherapy by providing structured home practice between sessions. Therapists can assign activities remotely, monitor completion, and review progress — reducing the gap between sessions.
Pricing
How much does Verbalyft cost?
Verbalyft offers a free tier with core stories and basic activities. The Parent plan is $19/month with unlimited sessions, AI companion, and progress tracking. The Professional plan for therapists is $49/month. Institute pricing is custom. All paid plans include a 14-day free trial.
Is there a free version?
Yes. The free tier includes access to core interactive stories, basic speech practice activities, and limited vocabulary games. It's a great way to try Verbalyft before committing to a paid plan.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. All paid plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Your access continues through the end of the billing period.
